Healthy Aging Medical Centers does not participate with any insurance.
2. Services- What can the doctor do for me?
Healthy Aging Medical Services are different from your primary care doctor visit. The focus of your visit is to improve the quality of your health. A customized program is designed to meet your specific needs. Special attention is given to hormones, nutrition, physical exercises as well as supplements. Through this approach you will prevent and reverse the diseases of chronic aging.
3. Services- What is the Preventive Aging Program?
Healthy Aging Medical Centers will determine the most appropriate program for you after your initial consultation. This consultation is between one hour and one hour in a half based on the complexity. Dr. Johanan D. Rand, M.D. reviews all your blood work and medical history prior to this initial consultation.
4. Consultations- Which Program do I need?
Focused program consultations -You may choose to start in any area-Nutrition and Supplements, Exercise, Bio-identical hormone replacement, or Preventive cardiology.
5. Hormones- Does the doctor specialize in bio-identical hormones?
Healthy Aging Medical Centers does specialize in bio-identical hormones replacement therapy.Dr. Johanan D. Rand, M.D. has extensive training as well as resources to assure you are provided with the safest and most effective delivery mechanism. Your hormones are monitored through blood testing or saliva testing based on your individual needs.
6 . Nutrition- What is involved in a Nutrition consultation?
Through a detailed analysis of your food diary, Dr. Johanan D. Rand, M.D. will make specific recommendations to optimize your hormonal response. Special consideration is given to insulin and cortisol. Through this approach chronic, degenerative diseases of aging are prevented.
7. Fitness- How does your fitness evaluation work?
Through assessment of your strength, cardiovascular and pulmonary function, as well as body composition, balance and flexibility a custom exercise program is designed that is appropriate, effective and sustainable.
8. How much does it cost?
Evaluations are performed at the time of your initial consultation. After this consultation, a detailed recommendation will be made regarding the level of services required.
9. Is lab testing extra?
Lab testing is not included in the initial visit. In some instances your insurance will pay for the lab testing. There is no guarantee that all testing will be paid for by your insurance company.
10. Will the doctor take the place of my primary care doctor?
No, Dr. Johanan D. Rand, M.D. will work with you and your physician on preventive aging and Preventive health. He does not perform clinical services such as acute, urgent or Emergent medical care or primary care.
11. Is program fees refundable?
Generally, programs are unable to be cancelled for the stated term. In the event that Healthy Aging Medical Centers agrees to cancel a program, none of the fees paid to the point of the cancellation are refundable. This is due to the fact that there is a significant amount of effort to create the individualized program and the initial prescriptions. Scheduled future payments will be cancelled if Healthy Aging Medical Centers agrees to the cancellation.
